Where did you grow up? Southern California. I grew up in a town called Redlands just between LA and Palm Springs
Where do you find inspiration? I find inspiration just walking around the city and in everyone’s personal styles. I find it in nature and in my friends and family. I grew up near the desert so that is always a place that inspires and grounds me. I find it in movies and tv shows, especially haircuts from the 70s and the 80s. I am also inspired by my co-workers and my clients themselves.
What do you do besides hair? I love to travel. I love to explore the streets of NYC. I dance every day. I craft, eat out, spend time with my cats and partner, go to the movies and see live music. I love to help others and volunteer with my community.
What do you love most about being a hairdresser? I love the creative outlet that hair has always given me. I also love to spend time with people and have been grateful to form intimate relationships over the years. I love to teach people how to practice self careby taking just a few minutes a day to make their hair look and feel its best.
What looks are you into right now? I am into low maintenance hair that has a nice grow out. I’m very into short shaggy 90s inspired haircuts. I love working with wavy and curly hair. I love to show people what a difference spending a few minutes on your hair at home as self care can do for you
Cut- Color - or both? Haircuts forever. I do both in the salon but I love the idea that you can cut someone’s hair anywhere, anytime.
