Where did you grow up? I grew up in Santa Barbara, California, I took it for granted and really wish I had realized that other beaches don’t look like that.

Where do you find inspiration? Film and music mostly, I definitely have an obsession with 60’s and 70’s style film and music. I love the clean, proper aesthetic of 60s hair and have always loved the grungy, messy, lived in, wild hair of the 70s.  If I could have anyone’s hair from that era it would be Patti smith’s hair in her Chelsea hotel photo shoot.

What do you do besides hair? I love live music, rollerskating, thrifting, working on my art, traveling when I can, and spending time with my little old cat Pooter

What do you love most about being a hairdresser?   The look on a clients face when the cape comes off and they see themselves for the first time in their full outfit is always my favorite part. Seeing someone love their hair and smile never gets old, doing hair is very intimate and I’ve met a lot of amazing people over the years who have enriched my life and shared their lives with me in the chair which is something I’ll never take for granted.

What looks are you into right now? 90’s super model bangs (think Sabrina carpenter), bobs with long curtain bangs, messy pixies, blunt lines with textured layers, masculine mod cuts, and of course the shag and mullet…I will never get tired of those two.

Cut- Color - or both? Cut! But I’ve been day dreaming about doing creative colors again
